The case for pay for performance -- Federal Computer Week

This is a very interesting article making a case for monetary based incentives. Note the three types of "pay for performance" programs discussed:

  • Incentives for individuals based on objective performance measures
  • Merit pay, i..e. incentives based on more subjective evaluations by an employees boss
  • Group-based incentives
